Case Study: Running with Robots

Standard Iron & Wire Works is a large, multi-facility contract manufacturer and architectural metals supplier headquartered in Monticello, Minnesota. To maintain its leadership position, Standard Iron has increasingly turned to automation. In order to improve processing their large and awkward shaped parts, they recently purchased a 480 Ton x 14 Ft Accurpress press brake equipped with two robots and WILA New Standard Premium Hydraulic Clamping, CNC Crowning, and Tooling. Standard Iron has been using WILA New Standard Tooling Systems on their various models and brands of press brakes since 2003, which has dramatically reduced their set-up times and improved their quality consistency on the large variety of parts they manufacture.
